Vi kunne ikke v\u00e6rt mer forn\u00f8yd med \u00e5 v\u00e6re en del av det fantastiske arbeidet de gj\u00f8r. Det \u00e5 se barn p\u00e5 gaten, som g\u00e5r fra bil til bil og tigger er noe som gj\u00f8r inntrykk p\u00e5 de fleste. Men n\u00e5r vi kjenner igjen barna, og vet at det er en gjeng som tar vare p\u00e5 og utdanner barna, varmer det hjertene v\u00e5re. Det er helt utrolig \u00e5 tenke p\u00e5 forskjellene en slik organisasjon gj\u00f8r i hvert enkelt liv. Vi er s\u00e5 velsignet som er sendt hit og f\u00e5r lov \u00e5 bidra i noe s\u00e5 viktig.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&laquo;We are a small charity with a big heart. We provide love and care to those in Bali who are disillusioned and underprivileged, with the aim of giving them hope, dignity and purpose.&raquo;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Bali Life har 4 aktive prosjekter, og vi underviser p\u00e5 et gatesenter, og et senter for barn som jobber p\u00e5 s\u00f8ppelfyllingen p\u00e5 Bali. P\u00e5 fredager bes\u00f8ker vi barnehjemmet Bali Life har stiftet. Alle disse plassene er barn og utdanning i fokus, og vi f\u00e5r brukt spr\u00e5ket v\u00e5rt flittig. Problemene de har satt seg som m\u00e5l \u00e5 bedre er fattigdom, hjeml\u00f8shet og utnyttelse. Gjennom selvhjelps-kurs l\u00e6rer kvinner \u00e5 produsere ting de kan selge. De selger noe av det til sponsorer, noe til butikker, og noe selv. Det \u00e5 ha en plass hvor de har verkt\u00f8y, plass og hvor barna blir tatt vare p\u00e5 er noe kvinnene er veldig takknemlige for. De arbeider flittig sammen, og det er alltid god stemning. Barna p\u00e5 Bali er ogs\u00e5 en veldig utsatt generasjon. Private skoler er veldig dyre. Staten har tilbyr gratis offentlige skoler, men barna m\u00e5 passere en test for \u00e5 f\u00e5 rett til utdanning. Denne testen er det mye av utdanningen barna f\u00e5r p\u00e5 Bali Life er rettet mot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>En dag p\u00e5 jobb<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>P\u00e5 street-centeret begynner vi \u00e5 undervise klokken 10. Her forbereder vi de minste barna til \u00e5 ta del i undervisningen til en l\u00e6rer. Vi pleier \u00e5 starte skoledagen med en sang, deretter matte og engelsk. Etter hvert som konsentrasjonen synker pleier vi \u00e5 ta frem tegneark, fargestifter eller brettspill. Det er barn mellom 4 og 12 \u00e5r vi underviser, og forskjellen mellom barna er enorm. Derfor foreg\u00e5r undervisning stort sett 1 til 1. Enkelte dager er det opp til 14 elever p\u00e5 oss to, og da er det klart det er utfordring \u00e5 gi alle barna de oppgavene de trenger. Personlig tenker jeg at matte og engelsk vi l\u00e6rer barna er bra, men l\u00e6ringsgleden de f\u00e5r n\u00e5r de klarer oppgaver er enda viktigere. Det er stor stas \u00e5 dele m\u00e5ltid i Indonesia, og vi har skj\u00f8nt at dette er en viktig arena skal en bygge relasjoner. Det blir servert gris, kylling, sild og st\u00f8rre fisk. Det eneste negative med m\u00e5ltidet er at alle m\u00e5 sitte i yoga-stilling. For en kar som ikke har gjort t\u00f8yingen sin de siste ti \u00e5rene er dette en smertefull halvtime&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Etter Lunch er det rydding f\u00f8r vi begynner med g\u00f8yere aktiviteter. Det spilles fotball, Uno, brettspill, vi danser, synger og leker masse med lego. Denne delen av dagen er sykt kjekk, men man blir ogs\u00e5 veldig sliten av varmen, og de uendelige kreftene til barna.
